Hello everyone. My name is Marcus Young and my blog for the spring semester of 2015 will be about religious powers and the role they play in society. I thought this video would be an excellent video to begin with, just to get a basic idea of the thoughts behind how religion came to be. I am a Christian so my belief about religion and how the world came to be may be different from yours. However my blogs will not be one siding or in any form persecuting to those who have different beliefs. In this video Dr. Daniel Dennet provides some excellent ideas about how the world came to be, from both view points of Christianity and non believers. I know the video is over an hour long, however it is quite interesting. Even if you watch the first ten minutes or just skim through, you will find some insightful information from this video.
